Intro to Rhythms of Everyday Living

sunrise rhythms of every day living.jpg

Rhythms-- do you think of singing, dancing, playing an instrument? Patterns? Structures of days? Sunrises or sunsets, seasons? Heartbeats, breathing?

Many different rhythms surround us. Sometimes they are in sync and at other times it is as if there are numerous songs of completely different styles and paces vying for the stage at the same time. Here we will explore how there are many different ways  to construct our days and how those habits, routines, rituals and more influence how we feel and how each of these impact ourselves and one another.

We’ll talk about activities of everyday living that serve as inhalations and give us much needed air and fuel and we’ll also notice which activities are exhalations-- allowing us to expel that which no longer serves us and provides the right balance for us to continue on with our days with greater ease. You’ll get to recognize people with similar rhythms and those with whom you're not quite sure how to dance with-- while also getting some ideas of how all these different rhythms can coexist and harmonize.

To begin, all we have to do is notice what we are doing today and if it makes life flow with greater ease or more difficulty. Whether you have great daily rhythms that feel right for you or rhythms that just are not working right now-- we invite you to join us in considering how everyday living is influenced by the rhythms we choose and those that arise around us.
