Hello everyone!
It is mid winter in Minnesota and those of us who love snow are finding ways to enjoy this season, both indoors and outdoors.
We have had the snowiest December the area has seen in 30 years so it has been a year of opportunity— to embrace winter in all its magnificence, reconnect with all the different types of snow, and reconnect to the snow days of our youth (well, at least my youth— that time frame may predate some among us).
At To a life well occupied--
We have been alternating our time between welcoming a new season and preparing for the next. Rather than race to share all that is in store for you in January, we are gathering, refining, and allowing the space necessary to release content that is in rhythm with life as it is. There is no calendar that could predict what would happen this month so we have decided to take a cue from the plants and animals that surround us— we will allow the conditions and season to guide our tempo.
I don’t know how January has been for you, but for many, it seems January’s events have beckoned us to slooooow down, (like way down), pay attention, recharge— and whatever you think you need to recharge, maybe double it.
So we have been doing just that— making space, honoring the different paces that emerge in each individual life so that we can find a rhythm as a team to share together with you.
That is where the magic happens— the adjustments in rhythm reflecting our commitment to ourselves, one another and to all who will interact with us this year.
As you know, the blog was not intended to be a choir of one. (And if you know me, you know harmony is what I love best and most) This year you will continue to notice the choir of voices grow— you will see it, hear it, and feel it.
We have been practicing, so to speak, and are getting ready for you to meet the ensembles that will guide and kick off the year.
We will begin introducing you to some of the voices that you will hear more from over the next few weeks.
Whether you have been following us since the start or are new to the blog, we are glad you are here and look forward to connecting with you this year.
So here we go—
Onward--
To a life well occupied
